Immersive Musical Journeys Inspired by Innovation and Emotion

Reimagining Piano Tradition Through Sound, Light, and Storytelling

ABOUT
Sînziana Mircea’s career bridges performance, research, and composition, redefining the role of the classical pianist in the 21st century. With a vibrant international career, she has performed at Carnegie Hall NY, the Kennedy Center DC, Tokyo Metropolitan Theater, Beijing Silk Road Arts Center, and St Martin-in-the-Fields in London. Her early debut in her native Romania at the Bucharest Philharmonic at age seven and first U.S. tour at fourteen marked the beginning of a journey distinguished by over 35 awards and acclaimed tours across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, becoming a Young Steinway Artist in 2017.
Innovation is central to her artistic identity. Since 2019, her IMAGINE concert series has fused classical repertoire with new compositions, electronic music, and live video mapping. These immersive performances feature unconventional duos such as piano–organ and piano–guitar, and include rediscovered Baroque works, offering audiences a multisensory experience where tradition is reimagined through contemporary language. The series has reached major stages such as the Stockholm Philharmonic, Bucharest Philharmonic, and Radio Hall in sold-out concerts, with recordings broadcast on BBC Radio and throughout Europe via the EBU network.
Sînziana is a University Professor at the Conservatorio “Franco Vittadini” in Pavia - Italy and also a researcher, with works like Serenissima Suite and Aurora Suite reflecting her interdisciplinary artistic vision. She serves on juries for international competitions and, in 2024, was honored in Bocconi University’s Changed by Women volume, celebrating 99 leading alumnae from its 120-year history.

She is a graduate of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln where she earned top honors, the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London where she studied on a full scholarship, and Bocconi University in Milan where she completed a Master’s degree in Arts Management.
